DAMAGE TO PACKAGING UPON DELIVERY MUST BE NOTED ON SIGNED DELIVERY PAPERWORK. DO NOT SIGN FOR YOUR DELIVERY UNTIL YOU'VE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED FOR DAMAGES.
We strive to ship all orders via traditional parcel (UPS, USPS, FedEx), but if you ordered a fragile or oversized product from Majestic Water Spouts, your order will be shipped via a freight carrier and arrive on a semi-truck. If your order will be shipped via this method, please read all the following information to familiarize yourself with the process. We want your delivery to be as smooth as your order itself!
What is Freight?
When we deem it's safer or your package is too heavy or oversized for parcel delivery, we will ship your order this method. When you check out on our website, you may see freight delivery options as the only methods when placing your order. Also, sometimes with bulk orders or due to parcel shipping costs, we'll elect to ship your order via motor truck freight.
There are two types of freight services that we employ to deliver our products to customers. We ship order via Less Than Truckload (LTL) or Hotshots.
LTL Shipments are picked up from our shipping department and much like regular parcel (Example: UPS) shipments, they move to hubs of the freight carrier until they get on a final delivery truck and arrive at your location.
Larger products that we are concerned about moving through depots and being unloaded/loaded onto different trucks, etc, we ship via hotshot services. This is a truck that leaves our facility and your order does not get off the truck until it's delivered to you. Hotshot trucks are usually flatbed semi-trucks.
We leverage reliable broker networks to get the best rates and service for freight delivery of our orders. Our usual freight companies we ship with are large companies with trailer you often might see on the road such as R&L, ABF, Old Dominion, XPO, Estes and others.
This is shipping to my house, will they be able to deliver it?
Short answer is yes. If your do not have a dock or forklift at your house, we will need to order a liftgate truck to unload your shipment. Liftgate service will get the crate/pallet of your order off the truck, but no further. You will be required to move the crate/pallet away from where it's unloaded from the truck.
If you need more help with delivery or your delivery location is inaccessible to a semi-truck, it's best to have our crate delivered to the nearest freight carrier terminal/depot/warehouse and pick up the order or hire a local courier service to deliver to our final destination.
How long will it take to be delivered?
Freight order delivery times vary depending on the distance, package dimensions/weight and many other conditions. Usually we see them being delivered within a week after pick-up from our facilities.
There is no "overnight" type of services provided by freight carriers, unfortunately.
How will I know when the truck with my order is arriving for delivery?
Once your order has been picked up by the freight carrier, we will provide you with the carrier's name and a tracking number. This is normally called a PRO number and can be tracked for progress via the carriers website.
Based on what you provide to us when you place an order, we will give the freight carrier days and times you said you're available to receive the order. If you need a specific time for delivery, we can purchase the freight with a scheduled delivery where the will call or email to schedule the delivery.
What will freight packaging look like/weigh?
We use steel, wood and cardboard for the outside of the crate. Usually the crate itself is the heaviest part of the order being delivered. For example, a 96" Copper Open Top Zanardi weighs about 55 lbs, but with the crate, it will weigh around 200 lbs.
How much does freight shipping cost?
Freight estimates are calculated when you checkout and place your order based on the size/weight of the product, your region and accessorial services (explained below) you choose.
There are too many options for freight accessorial services for our website to calculate, so we provide a residential and commercial option. These are only estimates based on our previous shipments of the item or similar to your delivery address. If the estimate is incorrect or you need to change the accessorial services, we will contact you for additional payment or a refund.
If accessorial services are required after shipment setup or during delivery (like liftgate), you may be charged for these additional services we did not quote. if you agree to extra services that you did not initially pay for and we are billed for those services, we will invoice you for these costs.
In general, commercial addresses with less accessorial services are the least expensive to send via freight.
What if the package/product arrives damaged?
If your freight order arrives and the package is damaged, it is e3ssential that you note it on the delivery documentation that the driver will request you sign. You must write down that you received it with damages to not be liable yourself for those damages.
It is advised to take pictures of the crate from all sides as soon as it is unloaded from the truck.
Call us immediately at (888) 702-2558 to report freight damages to the crate and for further instructions.
For more information, please see our Shipping Policy.
How do I return my order that ships freight, if need be?
Returns for freight shipments are similar to returns of parcel (UPS, USPS, FedEx) shipments. We will schedule a freight pickup and you will have to assist the freight companies trucker in loading onto the truck.
For more information, please see our Shipping Policy.
I missed my delivery, what do I do?
If you missed the delivery driver, they trucking company will usually call us or you to try and re-schedule the delivery.
Please note that re-delivery may incur additional charges that will be the responsibility of the buyer.
I live outside the USA, can I still by products that are shipped freight?
For international freight shipments, you will need to hire a freight forwarder to ship your order outside of the USA. Normally, freight forwarders have warehouses near borders and ports that we would ship via regular freight service and the freight forwarder would have the shipping to your delivery address aboard.
